Dear ICASSI Participants, Faculty, and Board Members,
Dear friends of ICASSI,
It is with deepest sadness that we share the news that our longtime co-chair, Dr. Eva Dreikurs Ferguson, passed away peacefully in her sleep last night.
Eva’s dedication to ICASSI for more than 50 years and to the preservation and application of Adlerian psychology was extraordinary. For decades, she gave her time, wisdom, and leadership with clarity, encouragement, and unwavering commitment. Her presence shaped generations of participants, faculty, and colleagues of ICASSI in profound ways, and her legacy will continue to guide our work.
After not being able to travel to some recent summer schools, Eva was able to attend the ICASSI Summer School in Collinsville this year, as it took place close to her home. Being with the ICASSI community one last time was very meaningful to her, and she deeply cherished the opportunity to reconnect with friends and participate in lectures, workshops and evening activities. Even after the summer school she continued to work as co-chair until the last days of her life.
We ask you please to not send cards or flowers to Eva’s home. If you would like to share messages or memories, you are welcome to send them to us by email (info.icassi@gmail.com) and we will collect them and share them with the family.
Those who wish to honor Eva’s life and work may also make a donation to ICASSI in her memory in lieu of flowers.
